PSA HomeGuard HG3000 240V Photoelectric Smoke Alarm, 9V Battery Backup

Sold out. This product has been replaced by the PSA HomeGuard HG140AC.

PSA’s HomeGuard HG3000 is a hardwired 240V photoelectric smoke alarm with a replaceable 9V battery that keeps it working when mains power drops out. Photoelectric sensing responds well to slow, smouldering fires and contains no radioactive source, which makes it a sensible choice for bedrooms, hallways and living areas in houses and apartments.

Electricians will find it suits both new installations and like-for-like replacements of older hardwired alarms. It can work alone or be linked with up to 24 compatible alarms so that the whole home sounds together.

Key features

• Runs on 240V AC 50Hz with 9V DC battery backup, drawing up to 80mA per alarm
• Interconnects with up to 24 compatible units
• 85dB alarm at 3m using the ISO 8201 pattern, with the red LED flashing once per second during an alarm
• A single button handles test and hush; hush silences the unit for 10 to 15 minutes
• Low-battery warning chirps every 40 seconds alongside a flashing red LED
• Insect-screened sensing chamber and anti-tamper design
• Approved to AS 3786:2014 and ActivFire listed; 5-year limited warranty (battery excluded)

• The alarm keeps sounding while smoke is present and resets itself once it clears
