The PSA Lifesaver LIFWMB2 is a wireless interconnect base for Lifesaver LIF5800/2 and LIF5800RL/2 smoke alarms. With a built-in RF module, it lets alarms communicate without interconnect cable, so when one alarm detects smoke, every alarm on the network goes off.

The PSA Lifesaver LIFWMB2 is a wireless interconnect base for Lifesaver LIF5800/2 and LIF5800RL/2 smoke alarms. With a built-in RF module, it lets alarms communicate without interconnect cable, so when one alarm detects smoke, every alarm on the network goes off. Its interlink protocol also works with the LIF10YPEW smoke alarm.
It suits electricians upgrading existing homes to interconnected photoelectric alarms, for example to meet Queensland requirements for leased or sold properties, where running cable between rooms and storeys would be slow or costly. Because the link is wireless, linked alarms can be on different circuits.

Installation notes
- The LIFWMB2 replaces the earlier LIFWMB, but uses a different frequency, so the two bases cannot be linked in the same network
