PSA Lifesaver LIF6000RL 240V Photoelectric Smoke Alarm, Rechargeable Lithium Battery Backup

The PSA Lifesaver LIF6000RL is the rechargeable lithium version of the LIF6000. It is a photoelectric smoke alarm that runs on 240V mains, with a non-replaceable rechargeable lithium battery as backup. That means there is no 9V cell to replace during the life of the alarm, which helps with rentals and properties where regular access is difficult.

Photoelectric sensing can pick up the visible particles from smouldering fires earlier than ionisation-type alarms. The unit mounts on a ceiling or wall and can run alone or interconnect with up to 24 alarms. Add the LIF6000WB wireless RF interlink baseplate for wireless interconnection, and the LIF6000THL wireless controller for remote test and hush.

Installation notes

The alarm connects to 240V AC 50Hz, so a licensed electrician must install it. Terminals are 9V, Active, Switch, Neutral and Loop. The unit is 130mm in diameter and 45mm high, and is for indoor use. Queensland rules require interconnected photoelectric alarms in all bedrooms, in hallways or areas linking bedrooms to the rest of the home, and on each storey of any home sold or leased.
