Description
The PSA Lifesaver LIF6000 is a surface-mount photoelectric smoke alarm that runs on 240V mains, with a 9V battery as backup. A Duracell battery is supplied. Photoelectric alarms can pick up the visible smoke particles from a smouldering fire earlier than ionisation types, which makes the LIF6000 a sensible choice for bedrooms, hallways and living areas.
It mounts on a ceiling or a wall and can work alone or as part of an interconnected system of up to 24 alarms. Adding the LIF6000WB wireless RF interlink baseplate gives wireless interconnection, and with the LIF6000THL wireless controller you can test and hush the alarms remotely.

- Photoelectric sensor fitted with a bug screen over the chamber

- Alarm output of 85dBA at 3 metres
- Approved to AS3786:2014 and ActivFire certified

Installation notes
A licensed electrician must install the LIF6000. Terminals are 9V, Active, Switch, Neutral and Loop. The unit measures 130mm in diameter and 45mm high, and draws 4mA on standby (10mA maximum). For replacements, it fits the base plates used by the earlier 5 Series alarms: LIF5000, LIF5800, LIF5800RL, LIF5800/2 and LIF5800RL/2. In Queensland, any home that is sold or leased must have interconnected photoelectric alarms in every bedroom, in hallways or areas between bedrooms and the rest of the house, and on each storey.
